A club's Wednesday nights, a summer points series, or a class's ranking events can be combined into a series with its own standings, scored across the events in it.
Creating a series
From the race office, open Series and create one for your club. Add the events that count. Each event is still run and scored on its own, and the series standings are computed from the events' results. To score one class across the season, choose that class when you add each event; otherwise the event's overall places are used.
Scoring a series
By default each boat's event place is its series score for that event. Set how many events must be sailed to qualify for the standings, how many events can be discarded and after how many events, and whether discards count in the tie-break. Events a boat missed score nothing and do not count towards qualifying.
For a series scored like a regatta, choose a format instead: Appendix A low point, high point or bonus point, with its own discard schedule. Each event then counts as one race, and an event a boat missed scores as a non-starter under that format. Press Recompute standings after results change.
Publishing
The series has its own public page at /seasons/<name>, and its club's page lists it once it is
published. It stays private until it is published, and only events that have been approved count
towards it.
