Saildex Regattas

Features

What the race office does, in the order an event uses it. Every feature is in every event, for free.

01

Before the event

Set up the club and the event, publish the notice of race, and take entries.

Clubs and organizations

Each club has its own page listing its events and published series, and its own admins who can run any of them.

NoR and SI generator

Drafts the notice of race and sailing instructions from your setup, in the structure of Appendix J and the US Sailing guides, with versions and numbered amendments.

Documents and the notice board

An official online notice board with a timestamp on every post, the event’s documents, and every amendment listed with the document it changes.

Registration

Free online entry with your own questions and required documents. The registrar approves each entry, asks for missing information, or puts it on a waiting list.

Crew lists

A public crew list for every boat, kept in the race office. Names are public; email addresses are not.

Ratings

A rating per boat for each handicap system, entered by the scorer or imported from an ORC certificate, reviewed, and locked before racing.

Race day

Built for a phone on the committee boat: large targets and few taps per finish.

Starts per class

A start time for each class or shared start, so a general recall for one class changes only that class.

Finish entry

By sail number with the time taken to the second, by typed time, by order only, or pasted in bulk. Unknown or ambiguous sail numbers are flagged before they are scored.

Check-in and the safety tally

Check boats in for each race, sign them out and back ashore, and see at a glance which boats left the harbour and have not come back.

Scratch sheets and RC sheets

Printable sheets for the committee boat, by class, with sail numbers, names and ratings.

Communications

Email entrants and crew from the event, with a delivery history, and post race news to the notice board.
