Organizer terms

1. A free service

Saildex Regattas is provided free of charge by Leebow. There is no contract for a level of service: it is offered as it is, and availability is not guaranteed. Have a fallback for race day, such as printed scratch sheets, as you would with any system.

2. You run the event

Your club is the organizing authority. You are responsible for what you publish: the notice of race, sailing instructions, notices, entries you approve, and the accuracy of your results. Saildex provides the software and does not check your scoring, your documents or your compliance with the racing rules.

You must have the right to publish what you post, and you must handle entrants' personal information only for running the event.

3. Review

Every club and event is reviewed before it is public, under the publication review policy. Approval means the club and event appear genuine. It is not an endorsement of the event.

4. Acceptable use

Use Saildex Regattas to run sailing events. Do not post advertising unrelated to the event, links to unrelated sites, or anything unlawful, defamatory or offensive. Do not create clubs or events you do not run, impersonate another organization, or use entrants' contact details for anything but the event. Do not automate requests beyond normal use.

5. Takedown

Saildex can suspend a club or event that breaks these terms, and will tell its organizers why. Results already published stay in the archive unless they are themselves the problem. To report content, or to ask for something to be taken down, email support@saildex.com.

6. Results and the archive

Published results, entry lists, crew names and decisions become part of the Saildex results archive and sailor records, and are available through the event data feed. You can download your event's data at any time.

7. Changes

These terms may change. The date above shows the current version, and material changes are emailed to club owners.
