What Saildex Regattas stores about the people in an event, and who can see it.
Last updated 15 October 2026
What is public
As on any scoring site: the event, its documents and notices; each entry's boat name, sail number, design, skipper, club, home port, class and rating; crew names and positions; results; and hearing schedules and decisions. These also appear in the Saildex results archive and sailor records.
What is private
Email addresses, phone numbers, answers to registration questions and uploaded documents. Only the event's organizers with a role that needs them can see them. They are never published, sold or shared, and Saildex sends no marketing email.
Payments
There are none, so Saildex holds no card or bank details.
How long it is kept
Results, entries, crew names and decisions are kept indefinitely as the record of the competition. Contact details are kept while your account exists. Registration answers and documents are kept with the event.
Cookies and traffic measurement
After you sign in, one session cookie keeps you signed in. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics. The first-party traffic counter sets no cookies and stores a hash of your IP address and browser with a salt that changes daily, never the address itself.
Your choices
To correct or remove your contact details, or to change how your name appears, email support@saildex.com. The full detail is in data, privacy and retention.
