Appendix R Procedures for Appeals and Requests

How to appeal to a national authority: what to send, by when, and what happens next.

An appeal goes to the national authority in writing, with the protest committee's decision and facts, the grounds for appeal (why the rules were misapplied), and any diagram. Deadlines are short; check the national authority's prescription. The protest committee and other parties may comment. The national authority can ask the protest committee for more facts or order a reopening if the facts are inadequate. National authorities may change this appendix by prescription; event documents cannot.
