Appendix H Weighing Clothing and Equipment

How competitor clothing and equipment is soaked and weighed to check rule 50.

Items go on a rack, are saturated in fresh water, drain for one minute and are weighed. Pockets with drain holes that cannot be closed are emptied; anything that can hold water is left full. A competitor over the limit may rearrange the items and have them re-soaked and re-weighed, up to twice. Dry suit wearers may choose to have the suit and outer layers weighed wet and the under-layers weighed dry, with the two weights added. The notice of race and sailing instructions cannot change this appendix.
