About these ratings

Every profile and board is built from public race results. Nothing here is an official ranking.

What a rating tells you

A rating shows how a helm, crew or boat has finished against the fleets it raced, and how strong those fields were. It firms up as the racing piles up, so a long record is a better guide than a handful of events. Each class has its own board, and one board covers them all.

Where it comes from

SailDex archives published results from the public scoring sites and from events run here, and links the names in them into sailor profiles, boats and classes. Where it cannot tell whether two records belong to the same person, it keeps them apart and says so.

College rankings

College rankings are published weekly from ICSA results, for schools, skippers and crews. A week's list is frozen when it goes out, so later results and corrections appear in later weeks. They are not affiliated with ICSA and are not an official ranking.

What it cannot see

Results record the finish, not the conditions or the venue, and many sources list skippers without crews, so crew records are thinner than helm records. Missing events, misspelled names and late corrections at the source show up here too. Claimed profiles can merge duplicates and remove results that are not theirs. The index is rebuilt nightly.
